This is the one food The Queen will never eat

We are, without beating around the bush, absolutely obsessed with the Queen and we like to know what she’s getting up to/wearing/munching on at all times. First we loved reading about all the super strict and frankly insane rules the Royals have to follow, and then we couldn’t get enough of learning about the stuff you are just point blank not allowed to do in front of Our Liz.

Now, we have an even more exciting insight into her daily comings and goings because one of her former private chefs has revealed which food she absolutely cannot abide under any circumstances.

According to Stylist Darren O’Grady, who once had the honour of preparing meals for Lizzie and the other Royals told Marie Claire that there was one ingredient he was not allowed to use ever – garlic.

Apparently, Her Majesty couldn’t stand the smell or taste of it. What. In. All. Of. Balmoral!

You may think her dislike towards garlic means that she’s just a fan of the bland and boring foods, but you’d be wrong. O’Grady revealed her favourite food, and one that she eats every day, is dark chocolate. See, she’s just like us (although I wonder i she can get through a whole giant bar in one sitting?)

He also revealed the Royals would come down to dinner in ball gowns (try not getting your spag bol on that, eh!) and at the end of the meal, a bloomin’ bagpipe player would serenade them.

But best of all, he shared the frankly mind-blowing news that when the princes were little, they were obsessed with McDonald’s. Apparently, he’d swear he could make better burgers, but the little ‘uns loved the Happy Meal toys so much they were allowed to eat at the Golden Arches. We’re imagining they got it delivered by Royal appointment though… can’t exactly imagine Queenie rocking up to a McD’s and ordering at the counter.
